OPTI-GRAB
Plaid (NYC)
December 11, 2003

"Feed Ya Like A Lion Make Ya Bounce Like A Bunny" is not just the name of their CD, but a good description of their live show. Who likes a good time? Who likes something a little different? Who likes to dance? Opti-Grab does, and so do their fans.

From start to finish - the trio are bouncing around stage, dancing non-stop while all three members alternate from rap to singing and harmonizing backed up by their catchy synth-pop beats. The NYC act, who was nominated for the 2004 Diesel U Music Program, played at Plaid on December 11th.

All three have their own thing going on, and it merges together nicely. Fluffy's high to deep vocal range, Flaco's tight MC skills, and T$'s sexy bad-girl meets lounge-singer voice combined with their high-energy stage presence make this act worth seeing if you are looking to go out for a good time, dance and be silly.

The band really gives off a fun vibe. While up on stage, it doesn't feel like a routine - it seems like they are just three friends having a really good time putting on a show. Not comparable to any of today’s acts, but their influences include Afrika Bambaataa, Run DMC, Deee-Lite, JJ Fad, and Depeche Mode.--Steve from Showlist
